Easy to plug ethernet line cord into front and one into back, no punch-down tool required,female to female LAN connectors is meant to join together two Ethernet cables OR want to create ONE or TWO wall plate connections, extending your LAN cord for a longer length to gain LAN access. Work with CAT5, CAT5e or CAT7 cables, or used with a "keystone" wallplate, patch panels, or surface mount boxes. Standard for keystone wallplates and blank patch panels. Gold plated contacts and easy snap-in retaining clip ensure a secure and corrosion free connection.

Made my wiring project a lot easier.

I didn't want to learn how to cut and terminate network cable just to finish my basement (I ran two Cat7 network cables with RJ45 connectors and a coaxial cable for them). This wall plate saved me the hassle, I just plug or screw the cables into the back of the plate and the wall plate is ready to be connected from the front. Since the Cat7 cable I have is terminated with RJ45 connectors, it works fine. with Cat6 keystone connectors on this board (yes, I know I won't get all the benefits ofโ€ฆ

Exactly what I was looking for

I've just been hacking for a decade while sitting at home during lockdown trying to make it appear like my house is connected to an ethernet network . After "cutting" the cord on the cord, I literally cut the cords on my cord (with the obvious exception of the cord that belongs to my ISP and that I need for my internet service). My plan, so simple in theory, was to rip out the cable wires and just thread the ethernet cables through the now empty holes. WHAT DIRT. I'm reviewing this product soโ€ฆ

Cheap screws work best for wall plates and connectors.

I will give the same review as a similar product I reviewed. This product makes connecting network cables convenient, and cheap screws are included. This wall plate turns installation into a nightmare. Do yourself a favor if you have an extra light switch plate, use these screws instead. I installed two of these ethernet wallplates in two different low voltage mounting brackets. These mounting brackets are unthreaded. Essentially, you create threads as you go. It requires more torque and theโ€ฆ
