Great speaker I was looking for one I could hear background noise in my shop I bought several and although they were a lot cheaper NONE of them delivered this quality of good loud sound again buy one complaint the price seemed quite high for what you get it's a great speaker but I've seen many at Hamfest that worked just as well for a while, don't know if they've lasted . QUALITY 5 stars, the price is not good!

I bought this speaker to use with an Icom R75 shortwave receiver which I ordered the same day. Turns out the R75 didn't work with the small short indoor antenna I had. So I returned the radio and wanted to return this speaker but decided to try the speaker with my Uniden BCD536 scanner first. I was surprised that it sounds better than the external speaker I used. So the small Icom loudspeaker remains a keeper even with the comeback of shortwave radio.

This speaker is used with the Icom IC-F221 UHF mobile phone. While the built-in front speaker performs well, the external speaker shows an exponential improvement. Strong stations have a rich, warm sound. Fuzzy HTs are more understandable and less disruptive. It would be hard not to improve the sound of most mobile phones with an external speaker. Jeeps can be difficult to set up. But hiding the wire next to the coax was easy, and this one is on the back, near the tailgate of my bobtail. Jeep…
