better be strong

Great tool and well made but had to go back because as a woman over 60 I just wasn't strong enough to crimp it without pressing it to the ground. I ordered the next model with longer handles and I really liked it. Great product just not for me. If you're not as strong as you used to be (or would like to be), get longer handles for more leverage.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Great crimping tool

Smaller size so I can work in tight spaces which is a big plus. I had to set the trim to 3 to get past the pass/fail sensor. Increasing the setting required more crimping force. I think setting it to 2 would have worked (less crimping hassle), but I didn't want to risk permanent plumbing repairs. Again, setting it to 2 (which makes the crimp force acceptable) would probably work for more experienced folks - I wanted to be sure. Highly recommend for the price and love the smaller size.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Best value I could find

For a homeowner who doesn't do plumbing every day, this worked really well. I ran Pex in my basement for bathroom plumbing using this tool. I've worked with it both 1/2 and 3/4 and it worked fine in both cases. I have more work to do so I'll update if there are any issues, but for now this is a budget tool. I tested the crimp on a few beforehand to make sure it didn't need adjustment. I went ahead and set it to the hardest setting and the gauge showed these were good crimps. If you have…
