🐾 Ideal Pet Products Replacement Flap: Super Large, New Style Plastic/Deluxe Pet Door, 15"x20" Flap Size with Round Logo Review

Our 2 large labs (70lbs each) sometimes try to inflate the pet door at the same time and she stands up. After about 4 years we had to replace the valve because the metal part holding it to the frame was completely bent. Replacing the latch was easy and we are very happy with the pet door.

I had so much tape on the old valve that it couldn't even be washed off. it's so cool I wish I had seen her before. I thought I would have to replace this whole mess and I can't remember where I bought it. Thank you thank you!

I bought the exact replacement damper back in 2018, the first photo. Installed a new valve and it does NOT lift the magnetic sealing strip and leaves a 1/4 gap at the bottom. I reinstalled the old one and the sealing tape is coming loose. I really wanted it to work. Unfortunately, we live in a cold climate and cannot allow cold air to flow through the damper.

This is the third replacement valve I've bought here. The first came out fine, like the original. The second was 1/8 inch shorter but still worked. The new one is even shorter, so the magnet never snaps into place. A magnet they don't seem to sell anymore. Now I need to set up some sort of system for it to snap. The price went from $23 to $47 in 3 years as the quality dropped. The hole in the door was made to fit this pet door so I don't have much of a choice. I will never buy Ideal products…

It fits perfectly and was so clear! I just measured the opening on my current dog door and the mark was printed on the lid. I found this replacement and crossed my fingers as some people complained theirs didn't fit. It fitted perfectly and looked much cleaner than our current chipped door panel. hahaha PS I didn't realize they put a new plastic strip to screw in and secure the valve, but I'm glad they did because I also didn't realize mine was going to fall apart when I pulled the first valve.

A BEAUTIFUL DURABLE HOLE FOR ANIMALS! The dog door cover is finally worn out, so it's time to replace it. These patches are strong and durable. My dog is constantly going in and out; I mean all the time. It's big, so the valve wears out more. Sometimes I would also see him grab the ground before snapping back into place and play tug of war! As the owner of 5 huskies (I know we're crazy) our dog door gets a lot of use and if it can survive in our home you know it must be good! weird chewing on the edges so I find interchangeable doors very useful. It can be confusing which one to order, the logo is the main indicator, if your logo on your door doesn't match then it probably isn't the right one!
