Just installed and not used yet. I hope to update my review after using it for a few weeks. At first I thought the element was defective but I used a different tool to push out the rod which should have lengthened. I don't know much about things so it took me a while to assemble it and put it in the shower. It was very difficult to get it to work. Eventually I found that if I tightened the bolts (that hold the baskets) enough they would prevent the tie rod from breaking. Unfortunately, I think mine broke because the tension rod came in two lengths: either too long and it almost blasted a hole in my ceiling, or two too short and it didn't fit very snugly. Update. It's been over 3 years since I installed it. It holds up very well. It is regularly sprayed with bleach and other cleaning chemicals and the way it has held up is amazing. Looks like new apart from some rust on the welds on one tray and to be honest that's just because I let the old soap sludge build up. Upgrade from 3 to 4 stars.
