Acceptable ROI and almost perfect for compound slides

I put a full size RC on the X and Y axis and then realized I didn't have the RC for the cross slide. This gem saved my day. It is more accurate than my Grizzle G602 lathe and scales to size. In use the digital display lags behind the movement and it's annoying but I'm working on it. A full size DRO would get in the way and would be too bulky. I was able to do this with a 3D printed bracket. (Actually I printed out all the mounts for my DROs instead of editing them as I don't have a router yet.

Pros
  • Absolute measurement technology. Ultra high speed measurement - high accuracy. Remember the beginning of zero.

It is great. Next you need to set up the DROPRO magnetic scale.

This is great. Next, the DROPRO magnetic scale at 1/6 price. I have both They come with a swing mount that you can fold them onto! The installation method is very simple. Be creative. Take some time to watch these videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lBXi3NCRz8). ). Mounted on a lathe there are 4 and on a milling machine 4. Incidentally, these scales can be separated, metal can be cut with a band saw or with a cutting disc in a grinder.

Currently a good DRO in dimensional measurement

I received 6" and 24" versions of this DRO for my lathe and replaced some branded AccuRemote which were not working properly. mounted on one hand. Very useful for XYZ adjustment. - Many mounting options. PROBLEMS: - The rails/bars are magnetized as hell right out of the box. If you buy one of these make sure you also get a degaussing element as magnetisation seems to interfere with correct reading ie numbers jump. - The readings are updated about 2 times per second, which is a bit slow. - The…
