The coil on the left is defective. It's hard to see the photo, but there is a melted piece of plastic or something preventing the socket from locking into place. The one on the right is correct. But what should I do with 7/8 coils? And if this mistake was so cheap, then what else is wrong with this product?!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Annoying

Don't buy them, waste your extra money for good ones

I don't like the steep price. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. My BMW 750LI started misfiring on cylinder 6 so I decided to replace all the coils and spark plugs. I used NGK spark plugs and these ignition coils. When I ran it I had dropouts at 2, 3 and 5. These things are rubbish and I wish I had read the reviews before buying them. Had to go to Advanced Auto for 8 more (photo attached), just installed them and now my car is purring like a kitten! They return.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

4 out of 8 coils were bad! beware!

I ordered 8 packs of these coils for my 550i, 4 of the 5 coils were bad, I installed them as usual, fairly minimal installation requirements as people should know, however when I started my machine , i had huge misfires, thought it could be just one, connected obd2 and i had multiple misfires on cylinder 1, 4, 5 and 8, in fact i replaced my old bosch coils and the misfires are gone, luckily i don't have it done not harm the engine because it made a lot of noise! I didn't even give it a second…

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

3 ignition coils didn't work but still good

3 ignition coils didn't work it wasn't spark plugs because I tested multiple coils per coil and the result was the same but the other 5 work not problems in general. However, I'd recommend them for the low price: In the Autozone, the cheapest rollers are $41 apiece, or $328 before tax, and they end up costing a little over $11 apiece, so use them still profitable. It could also just be a bad batch, plus they don't make them so they don't know about the faulty 3 and offer a full replacement kit…

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Good but not great
