Looks right, doesn't work

The part looks identical to the 2017 Honda Pilot switch I was looking to replace and fits perfectly. However, the part does not work. The backlight starts working, but pressing the button does nothing. The car will not start. Accessories are also not activated. Too bad I waited over 30 days to test it and now I can't get a working replacement nor my money back.
