Rough and Slow File Transfer Method

delivery without instructions; The box says to point you to the website for instructions. He's not there or anywhere. I finally found a software only manual online - it's 7 years old now. Finally figured out how to do it. Everything is manual: you literally drag and drop folders. But there's a lot of technical detail about what and where you can drag and drop. When I did this before, the software automated the process and it worked all night. Transmission speed is low. Often the software stops…

It works! USB cable

I have been using USB transfer cables for over a decade - all with Easysuite software (I have NOT tested this unit with a Mac - only with a PC). I love the compact size. appears when plugged in (it happens on W7 but not on XP or W10), but that shouldn't be a problem. I asked the supplier and they recommended connecting the BIG end to the treadmill first, then the smaller end. It seems to be working better. I noticed that the REMOTE computer is shown at the top of the frame and the LOCAL…

If your needs are the same as mine, there is a better alternative.

From time to time I need to transfer files from one computer to another. More specifically, Computer A is for Internet access and Computer B for all my other computing work. I have tried this data cable and four other similar ones. I've found them to be either awkward to use, impossible to understand (at least for my purposes), or don't work at all. So I bought the IOGear GUS 402 – 2x4 USB 2.0 Peripheral Sharing Switch and USB 2.0 Flash Drive. And, in the immortal words of Elmer Fudd, Pwesto…

Great product, with a small flaw

This is a very easy to use product with a very simple and efficient interface. Forgetting the nature of the product compensates for this. The only recommendation I would give to software developers responsible for a product's user experience (and the reason I gave the product 4 stars to get their attention) is to remember the user's choice to overwrite files. For example, if you start a very large data transfer with hundreds or thousands of files and accidentally click Close on one of the…

Works but watch out for errors

I mainly work on PC but I needed to transfer files from Mac. Pros: Does what it says on the tin! - Connect to each computer, open the included program on each computer and you're good to go. - Allows you to transfer data between Mac and PC! - I can't compare the speed to anything, but it was sufficient for my needs. Note. The other computer is not mounted as a drive. . Rather, when the included software is run on each computer, the program itself will display the contents of both computers and…
