Iron-On Transfers Take Patience

Works great. The bottom line is to use enough transfer media, scrape off the excess with a squeegee and let dry overnight.

Cons
  • Crumpled Wrapping

Works like a Podge mod.

I used this to transfer my last vacation photos onto hexagonal blocks of wood for a proper display of memories. It renders images in the same way as a regular Podge mod. got a job

  • Paper
Cons

Not so good on glass.

Wasn't as clear as other media I've used. This was especially true for thin paper on wine bottles. It wasn't worth saving because I didn't get the results I expected. It works well on a tree so I gave it to the kids.

Worked great for my painting in a rock project!

When Grandpa asks for a gift, you do it! I watched a YouTube video and the man said it was "gel medium". The one he used was quite expensive. Luckily I found it! It worked wonderfully. I was excited to see the image on the stone as I erased the paper. It's "medium" so you can use it alone, it's actually meant for use with acrylic paint (as I understand it). Other projects will follow shortly. !

  • I don't remember

A good alternative medium for transferring images!

I like this as an alternative to Mod Podge photo transfer media because it is translucent and almost transparent once dry. DecoArt transfer material is less viscous and easier to apply in even, thin layers. I continue to use both, but prefer DecoArt for smooth wood, glass, metal and other smooth, non-porous materials. For me, using this product on wood usually requires the extra step of applying an opaque coat of white acrylic photo paint to give the appropriate contrast. I'm excited to try…

Pros
  • Paper and Paper Crafts
Cons
  • Long Lead Time
