I love short cables.: Cables and connections

All my devices were connected with long cables. I try to keep things in order. Instead, the top of my desk was always a mess of cables. Which port a particular device is connected to could be determined by looking at cable labels; but that didn't lessen the mess. So I ordered some short cables: ½ foot, 1 foot, and 1.5 feet to replace every 5 feet and 6 feet. Genus. Good quality colored cables, CAT6 and connected devices work great. This is what my desktop looks like now. Okay, there's still…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Anything else I can add

Top quality!: Computer accessories and peripherals

These patch cables are great, no problems so far. I was very pleased that all the cables worked perfectly. These short cables made installation easy and beautiful. They've been installed on my home network for a few months now and haven't had any problems. The cable quality is good and they are quite flexible. Would buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Long time

A must for a clean server

I usually make my own cables, but making that many equally short cables takes forever and is probably impossible. I bought 3 sets of different colors for my home network and every cable was perfect. It's nice to have all the cables neat, clean and color coded. Highly recommended!

  • cool product

Simple and incredibly useful

I had a ton of networking gear that I needed to connect and bought this brand in a variety of sizes and colors. They all still work well a few years later and these 1ft ports have proven to be the most convenient for the ports that are a little farther up the rack but still close enough that you don't bother with one want a lot loose. .

Pros
  • Great choice
Cons
  • Slightly crumpled

Great cables, but so much plastic is a waste.

These are legal 6 inch Category 6 patch cords. They were all the same length. These are great cables, I won't dispute that but that's why I'm giving them 2 stars. Each cable is individually wrapped in an unnecessarily large plastic bag that will likely fit 15 cables of the same size. They are then packed into a large plastic bag that looks like trash.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Doubtful

They meet the requirements of: category 6 cable

They work, the color is exactly what I wanted, the connectors are well protected, they arrived as promised, at a decent price. The cables in my server/data closet are color coded by service/task. Each time new equipment is installed and connected, they receive the correct color cable with a label for easy identification later. When I run out of a patch cord of a certain color, I refill it with a bag of 10.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • crumpled

Saves time. Perfect for my use.

I recently started renovating the network closet in my house and I can't stand having cables lying around everywhere. Call it OCD if you like, but I think keeping things in order and looking pretty is good practice. Things cables saved me a lot of time because I didn't have to make my own patch cords like I used to. They came individually wrapped and while some people didn't like the idea, I like it. I can store individual cables without worrying about moisture getting on the lugs as they are…

  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High price

this one was spot on

The boot connector is by no means a unique concept, but the impeccable design of these cables is good. Their design works well enough to prevent accidental clip breakage while offering only moderate resistance to the release hinge. I've used a variety of protection methods ranging from tape, heat shrink tubing, preformed boot connectors and more, but so far these cables seem to be the best. These cables were individually wrapped and labeled; now it's hard for the small amount of money i paid…

  • Good product for the price
