Very flexible even after using the anchor strap. Couldn't take the shaking of a 9 month old baby. And the thickness of your bed will affect the actual height of the handrails. My bed is 10 inches thick and the rails only reach my child's armpit height when they are standing. Didn't realize this was designed to be screwed in. However, we simply attached it between the box spring and mattress for our 2 year old double bed. He loves it and actually slept next to it last night. it doesn't budge or move, I LOVE IT! And the design is clear and difficult to see from one side, the side that should go to the bed. I really like this railing. I got this for my toddler who sleeps with me and it works great! He stands right next to the bed so she can't roll between him and the bed, he just stops her. I have a metal bed frame and a full size bed so it was a bit difficult to tighten it down to fit perfectly. In its tightest position, it was still too loose for my comfort. I ended up wrapping the piece around my metal rods to hold it more tightly to the mattress and it worked great. My daughter loves it too…
