Very good value for money USB to NVMe SSD adapter

proprietary USB Ineo adapter. Although there weren't any reviews back then, the specs were impressive enough compared to others that I bought it; and I'm glad I did. The electronics work as expected with very good data transfer speeds, including the ability to write-protect the SSD card. Its fan only turns on when needed and is very quiet. The metal case is beautifully constructed: the case halves fit together snugly, and the bottom half of the case has quality feet to protect the finish of…

Never could get it to work

I have some industrial NVME SSDs that I want to use as external drives. I bought the first of these cases for the looks and features of the fan. After installing the first SSD module, I saw the access light blink once, but Windows never found the module. I've tried several others, same result. Rather than just sending it back straight away, I had the Revain CS rep send out a replacement which arrived in 8 days (if I had backordered it would have arrived in 2). Same thing, so I'm just assuming…

Wrong chip! in Hard Drive Accessories

Update: Received the 2nd, after explaining at length why I wanted a replacement the rep seemed to understand and said they would take notes to close the box check to confirm that correct "chip" was inside. nope! The second one also says it contains a JMS chip (again, of course, there's no way to check what version of the chip it has). Type C yes! But ordered because the description says it has an ASM2362 IC. The box I received says it has a JMS583 chip, which is exactly what I DID NOT want. :(…

A must have for anyone using M.2 NVMe (PCIe) SSD modules

UPDATE: After a few months of use I can say that the naysayers saying it doesn't work seem to have no idea how one uses it. I have successfully used this case to create dozens of nVME M2 clones and backups. This device works great on two of my Windows 10 PCs and on my Linux PC. I have no idea how it performs on a Mac, but I have no doubt it will work just as well. And for those who want to know where it's made, where other than China, like 99.9975% of electronics sold on Revain. Nothing else is

Linux bug! on hard drive accessories

Doesn't work on 2 Linux systems: I installed a 1TB WD 750 SSD (5 small screws, no spare SMH.) The system runs Ubuntu, kernel 5.4. Hard disk detected, but disconnected does not determine alignment correctly (65535 never matches) Forced alignment 32M, partition OK, min 1 alignment OK. ext4 format hangs! The log showed errors on this device. After a couple of automatic resets, it mounted flawlessly. The read scan showed no errors, fsck is fine. Moved to another system w. Ubuntu, kernel 5.11…

Awesome highest quality USB Gen 2 NVMe chassis you can find (so far)

Awesome rugged chassis. I like another similar case from this brand (which looks like a flashlight) so much that I decided to try this one too. Both cases are very well designed. I like this one a little better as it doesn't have a (stupid, pointless) light and the top half of it falls off after removing 4 screws and uses pogo pins to send power to the fan in the top half (no wires). Bandwidth tests on both give the same results. These two cases seem to be much better designed than 95% of the…

Sturdy, well made "brick ", works great

I have a fully working 1TB M.2 NVMe secondary SSD that is left over from the "warranty repair" that Dell did for my Precision 7510 laptop performed, so I figured it would be a good idea to convert it to an external drive for heavy backups. Dell supports and has a connector for the full USB-C 3.x Thunderbolt specification. Conclusion: After installation and commissioning, the drive works EXCELLENT. I copied a 67.1GB folder containing 77 folders and 13,237 files in just under 5 minutes. Wow! Try…
