Good product good for home theater

works as intended. It can be very difficult to set up if you try to use it outside of the recommended setting. The 12v input runs the hat and the pi at the same time. Only one power source is required. Major advantage.

One of my best buys in a long time! Fantastic sound!

Wow! Super happy with it. I couldn't imagine it driving even heavy bookshelf speakers, but it does that and then some! That is amazing. Get the matching acrylic case! Allows you to turn RPI 2 into one of the audio endpoints. Use LMS and start PiCore Player. Totally worth every penny and more! Excellent work!

Very poor sound quality

This inexpensive amplifier produces high distortion at low volume. Distortion and hiss are less noticeable when the volume is turned up, but are replaced by a medium-heavy sound. No treble, no bass. If it weren't for the distortion I might have considered leaving it in my desk drawer to play around with later, but overall it was of too poor quality not to return. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Almost ok

Good paperweight for home audio

I owned it for almost a month and had to return it the first day, it has no wi-fi connection. I've used wifi and ethernet and never heard of them. The programs it puts in everything are crap! I use Amazon Music and thought I could at least stream it there and nobody would help me with that, well I guess I have another paperweight.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Power amp with Rpi-zero-w for deck tunes

Used in a waterproof case to provide a cost effective way to drive a pair of weatherproof speakers. With the 12V DC I use for my lights, I was able to turn them on and turn on a couple of mono mode speakers at the perfect volume to annoy the neighbors. I don't hear any distortion in my app at medium volume.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Security

Useful lower powered alternative to Hifiberry AMP2

I can't speak about longevity yet but performance wise it's pretty good. I bought it to drive a low power in wall speaker. I also have a hifiberry AMP2 that I use to power some bookshelf speakers. As a test, I connected one speaker to AMP2 and another to this board and didn't see much of a difference. I haven't done an exhaustive sound quality comparison as they don't play well with audiophile speakers, but for typical consumer grade bookshelf speakers and low to mid volume levels this board…
