It does exactly what I expected. a cheap check for a working phone jack. I added a STANDARD rj14 connector with clips. It's much cheaper than the "test" phone.

I just wanted an emergency phone. You get what you pay for. This phone is absolute junk. the volume is so low that nothing can be heard uncontrolled. The headset broke when unwinding the cable. Don't waste time or energy by sending it back. REST IN PEACE!

The phone didn't work at all, Zero, Zippo, and after 5 minutes it fell apart completely. It comes with a full size headphone with mic but it doesn't fit in any of my ears, not sure if my ears are "difficult". I sent the phone to the bin in the warehouse and donated the headphones to good intentions, hopefully someone with the right ear shape can use them. It was $7, which is $7 too much.

THE DEVICE SHOULD BE A GOOD IDEA UNTIL I HAVE IT. THE HEADPHONE JACK WAS SO POOR MADE THAT THE PIN CANNOT/WILL NOT STAY IN THE JACK HOLE NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY. THIS WILL RESULT IN LOUD AND DISTURBING NOISE FROM THE HEADSET FEEDBACK. MAKES THE DEVICE COMPLETELY PRICELESS. THE COST OBVIOUSLY SHOWS THAT YOU ARE NOT GETTING THE BEST DEVICE ON THE MARKET BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO GET SOMETHING THAT WORKED A LITTLE WAY.

First I tried to follow the instructions to set the date and time. When I pressed [Settings] it said "2003" and it was told to press the [Up] or [Down] key to change the date. When I clicked up, instead of the date, I got the word END. I didn't really bother with the date and time so I just plugged it in and pressed the green button (which you press when you want to make a call) and there was no dial tone.
