Not a good article! Ants have a very hard time.

Not a very good product! It is very difficult for ants to climb a sandy mountain! Not good to look at on a farm as the ants seem to prefer the side with no sand.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Good but not great

Such a waste. in Learning & Education

I'm not sure if it's the habitat or who sent the ants, but our ants died after three days. I followed all the instructions and they still died. I tried throwing away the dead ants and the sand was so messed up that I threw away the whole farm. Such a waste.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Zero

Fun learning and educational project

This anthill was a very fun project for my kids. Every day they were excited to see what new tunnels the ants had dug. However, as soon as the ants are dead (after about 2 weeks), the anthill is of little use. The small ants that we can collect in the yard are too small and will crawl through the holes above.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No show

Not the best result in training and education

This product was unsuccessful. The ants could not climb the mountain as they kept falling. I've done this before and had no problems. But they must have changed something because these poor ants really struggled to get to the top. Needless to say they didn't build tunnels and didn't do what they were supposed to.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I will write later

The Anthill is a mountain of fun! My boys loved it!

Bought this for a summer project for my little 6 year old entomologist and we love it. His older brother (9) was also very interested in it. The hardest part was waiting for the ants to arrive after we sent the order coupon with the instructions. It took us about 2 weeks to get the ants but once we released them they went straight to work and we loved watching them making their tunnels, moving sand, eating etc. We fed our little ones with strawberry chunks, melon and carrots (just tiny chunks…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
