It works great in splitters

I have a bi-directional amplifier in the closet where the cable company's line enters my apartment. I needed this two channel amplifier because of a problem with the cable company line going to the apartment. Where I have a cable modem, I have a UPS. So I wanted my 2 channel amp to be powered by a UPS. Used this inserter about 75 feet to the modem and it worked fine.

  • Certified
Cons

Works as expected - Satellite TV

This power supply allowed me to connect an external Antronix amplifier from home. I don't have an outlet outside, but there are plenty inside, including two next to the TV. I already had an amplifier, broadband cable TV with 11dB gain, two 5-1002MHz outputs with power supply and extra cables, so all that was missing was this power supply. I am currently hooking up HDTV from a transmitter 63 miles away using a 1byone outdoor/loft digitally amplified HDTV antenna, 70 mile range with a VHF and UHF

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • old

I've been gradually losing OTA reception over the course of several months and thought my amplifier had failed or my antenna had deteriorated in the five years I've owned it. I bought a simple continuity tester to test coax cables. All approved. Just in case, I checked the throughput of the power inserter. There is no successor. Well, I don't know enough about the electronics in the power supply to be sure it's bad, but I figured ten bucks for a new one was a lot cheaper than replacing an amp…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • The list goes on.

Works great for Comcast with low signal strength.

I have a Comcast and am having low signal strength due to a dead 6 port splitter sending TV signals to my house. I bought this and a boosted 8 port PCT splitter. He took care of all my problems. I don't have an outlet where my cord goes into my house so I needed this power adapter. This, along with a power supply and RG-6 coaxial cable, allowed me to power my PCT power distributor from an outlet in the house next to the cable box. Works great and all speakers in the house now get a good signal.

Pros
  • Audio and Video Accessories
Cons
  • No Instructions
