Cord Cat Repellent

I bought this Install Bay Split Loom Tube in three sizes from Revain to use as cord protection against a cat who decided to kill itself by chewing on the cord food. More recently, it has been destroying the desktop power supply, prompting us to look for an option. It definitely helped. I'm not sure anything will actually scare this cat away, but we haven't found anything chewing since installing it on wires around the house.

was not "split " - one piece tube

This was my second purchase of a 3/4" split loom (100ft spool) - first order was great. I had to get a second spool Have hand and finally needed them today (many months since I ordered/received). Imagine my surprise when I opened the package and found it wasn't torn at all! Just a tube. Looks like some sort of nick, which runs along the length where the cut should be, but that doesn't help me!

  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad

Great animal welfare!

If you have a dog or cat AND you have a lot of cords behind the closet (or from an electronic drum kit, like me) then you need these cord organizers. I cannot put into words how much time and money I have saved with these looms. They're easy to use (they split down the middle so managing the wires becomes a matter of simple darning) and I've had no issues with my chewing pup and kitten! An inexpensive way to find peace of mind!

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • A Little Maintainability

Prevents Rabbits from Chewing

Rabbits are notorious for chewing cords (just like all other pets). Therefore, this split wiring harness is ideal for protecting cables that are under hate teeth. If you install a few standard cables here and there, it's pretty easy. Simply measure the length of tubing you need, cut it with scissors (no knife! Scissors is easier) and wrap it around the cord. That's all! No more worrying about your electronic cables being chewed up. Ideal for any pet owner.

Suicidal Cat Prevention

Helps prevent my cat from suicide. I had a bad experience when a cat chewed on electrical wires causing severe burns in and around the mouth. Luckily she didn't accidentally kill herself in this little experiment! Having to force-feed the cat for a month while the burns healed was a frustrating experience for both of us, and I never found out what cords she wanted to try. So I bought this to prevent future chewing. So far they have worked great! I had them on all the wires in my house for a…

They protect my cables well

They require some effort to install but one day they will protect my cables well. My idiot decided to chew through the cord of my brand new lamp by tripping over my light switch and briefly leaving us all in the dark prompting me to purchase (the cat is fine by the way). I put them on and he chews them like hell but as far as I can see the laces aren't damaged. I splash water on him like crazy, but when there are no people around, the cat plays and I can't do anything. I'll say they're a little

More for less money. Buy online.

Does what I need. Just wanted to reinforce the cables behind my home theater. I recently went to a big hardware store to buy some like I did a few years ago. I needed some after remodeling my hideout. They only had a white loom. So I'm glad I went to Amazon for this purchase. More for less money. I'll never use any of this, but I suppose I can give to friends in exchange for favours, goodwill, etc. I recently called a cable company to check some things and they added me to the organization from

Used to protect wiring from naughty cats

This may not be a common use for this product but. Our cats are obsessed with chewing wires and I can't tell you how much money I've spent replacing wires and cords at Radio Shack. "Hmm, why isn't the internet router working? Oh, the wire was gnawed in half. One day, after so many visits, a clerk showed me these pipes and suggested to me. I'm telling you, this man is a genius. Cats still chew on pipes, but they're easier, cheaper, and safer to use than wires. We ordered it from Revain because…
