Much better than Monoprice 109436 Gold Plated Speaker Banana Plugs

As a potential buyer, you should know that these are better than the gold-plated banana plugs for the Monoprice 109436 loudspeakers. The tolerance is better and they sit more firmly in the stands and on the receiver and loudspeakers. They may cost a little more, but they're worth it!

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • I don't like it at all, everything is fine

Great price to feel good Fancy

I have rebuilt my home stereo about 10 times in my life. Every time we move I say I need banana clips and new speaker wire. I finally did and these clips were awesome. For the first couple there was a learning aid (which I had to imitate). Once you figure out how much wire to strip and how to distribute it, it's a cinch. Now I feel like I just updated my system. This is great and helps you connect your speaker wire to your amp/receiver at a fraction of the cost of other terminals. I highly…

High quality banana plugs

These plugs offer excellent sound quality and a secure fit. They connect easily to speaker wire and connection to a speaker/receiver is quick and easy. The 5-pin terminals on my speakers are flat so the pin doesn't sit flush (see pictures) but they do sit flush with the receiver pins. When properly connected, the speaker cable will not slip out of the connector. Using 14 AWG wire (I used amzn.com/B01CSZAYF0) you don't need a lot of bare wire since the insulation can go through the hole in the…

Sturdy and beautiful but be careful with wall mounts

I connected them to a Klipsch Reference Premier 5.1 system. They look great, much better than regular wire. They are also easy to use. Strip the wire, insert it into the base, fan out the wires around the top of the base, then screw the base into the banana plug. This will give you a strong and clean connection. I prefer them to side loaded banana plugs. You just look better. Although I wish they were shorter. Some wall applications do not work. They prevent you from flush mounting the speaker…

High quality, very easy installation and excellent connector.

Received this a few days ago and it's a quality item that I should have used years ago. I have many speakers in my home theater system and will be upgrading to an Atmos receiver at some point in the future. I wanted to simplify the whole wiring process once and for all and decided on these open ended banana terminals. Personally I prefer the closed type but due to the lack of space I had to work with I opted for the open type and to be honest I'm very glad I did. Not that it makes a difference…

How have I lived most of my life without knowing this?

I have multi-zone sound at home, ie amplifiers with many connections. I've always arranged them as best I can and I hope I never have to remove or move them because it's going to be a huge piece of work. NOT SO with these wonderful things. You basically strip the wire, slide it through the middle, and fold the individual strands on top (not on top of the strands). Then twist the two pieces together, and the strands, bent down the middle, make intimate contact with the shell, creating a…

Great product - very good quality

Great product! I finally switched my home theater to banana plugs, any system reconfiguration in the future will be easy now. The pin header and receiver connector of each banana plug are high quality and scroll very well when twisted down. The landing in the receiver of both the speaker and the receiver is good and tight, there is no backlash. The red and black washers/indicators can be moved from one connector to the other. Of the 24 banana plugs I made yesterday, I had to replace one after a
