Instant Pot Sealing Rings 2-Pack Clear, 8 Quart Review

I ordered these seals because they are supposed to come from Instant Pot but they are not the same as the original ones. They are much stiffer and harder to install. To get a good seal I have to push down on the lid once the cooking has started to get it to seal. If I don’t the pot will not seal and just boil. I would like to find the quality of the original.

I purchased other non-OEM Instant Pot Sealing rings not realizing how much difference there would be. They were very stiff, but once I got them in they seamed to work. I was disappointed.I noticed that the Instant Pot Sealing Rings said Food Grade Silicone. I couldn’t verify the non-OEM were food grade so I bought these OEM rings. Just like the one that came with it were very flexible and easy to install. Very happy I bought them.

I had a spare that I needed to use. But it didn’t work. I just bought these a couple of weeks ago. I knew it was working since I couldn’t hear the water boiling like it was doing with another replacement seal. I will stay with brand.

I purchased a set of two OEM rings because I want to avoid possible issues with knock-offs. The ring installed easily and snugly and works well in use, including high pressure.

We cooked out of our 2 InstaPots exclusively for a year and we loved it. We made a lot of spicy foods in our InstaPots and then we made yoghurt in our InstaPots…It turned out to be very spicy yoghurt. Time to change those rings!These new rings work great! Now we have great tasting yoghurt.

I have tried so many ways to get the smell out of my rings of my two Instant Pots, nothing ever worked and I was wanting to make something sweet and didn’t want to deal with the smell transfer. I went ahead and got these which is great one for each Instant Pot and I’m so glad I did, I made my recipe and no stink when I opened the lid. Of course the stink on the clear ones make it noticeable that they are for savory foods but I’m glad I don’t have to smell them now because I just use the colored

It’s fine only thing is that the rings have several cutouts Which does not look like the original which makes me wonder if it does a proper seal. But so far it’s working

Worked well, a little leaking at first but then the heat helped mold it to fit. A little tip to make these last longer, avoid putting seasoning in while it cooks on high pressure, that pushes the seasoning into the seal which makes it not last as long. Besides, the pressure cooker pushes out most of the seasoning anyway, which seems like a waste. It took me a while to learn this. Just add seasoning after and let it steam in, then you will have it taste better anyway and the sealant last longer.

Bought a "parts kit" that included lid sealing rings. Wouldn't pressurize so it was returned. Bought this one sold by Instant Pot and it worked perfectly as expected.

I kept getting the dreaded "burn" message and inquired online and found out I need to replace my InstaPot's oring periodically. I replaced and it and it is as good as new!
