Insulated Small Thermos Vacuum Bottle Storage & Organization Review

Excited at first - no leakage and a great way to send milk to a baby in nursery. We wash our face every night for everyday use but it smelled bad and I think it's the inner plastic rim of the bottle. The inside is steel, but the plastic is wrapped and I'm worried it's a breeding ground for mold. I won't risk it and I'll throw it away. We use other Mira products (no plastic inside) which work great.

It had a funny smell after first use that didn't go away. We used it to send milk to my son's school. The top is plastic - I wonder if there was a slight separation or something between the plastic and stainless steel because it stunk after the first use no matter how long I soaked it. I gave two stars as it was the best purchase I could return. I'm going to switch to one that's all stainless steel. That's a shame because I really liked how cute and compact it was.

I bought this to replace another 12 oz. Thermos to be able to take milk to work for my breakfast. Another brand leaked no matter how tight the lid was. This container is the perfect size, keeps my milk nice and cold and most importantly it doesn't leak. It also has an opening wide enough to be cleaned with a dish brush, which many insulated containers don't have. Blue is also a very beautiful color. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a container of this size.

I threw it away after a few days of use. Milk, anything with milk/dairy added causes the worst stench imaginable. It traps smells like it was made for it. I even took it apart to make sure I cleaned every little crevice, it didn't work. If you don't just drink water from this thermos, don't buy it if you've wasted your money. I wanted to send it back for a refund but I just couldn't imagine someone having to open such a smelly package. Do yourself a favor and just say "no thanks”.

Unfortunately like other reviews the containers do not clean properly. I used an airline travel thermos to store my daughter's lactose-free milk. At the end of the voyage, the containers were unusable. They had an odor that no cleaning could fix. As a last try I soaked them in bleach, I know it's not ideal for a thermos but I figured it might help and it didn't matter. Luckily I was able to send them back easily and get my money back. It's beautiful, but with every drop the paint starts to wear off. It doesn't leak, it was easy enough for my 6 year old to open/close and he says his milk stays cold all day (I also put ice packs in his lunch). You have to clean it every night, and longer you have to clean it with vinegar. In addition, the rubber on it is removable and must be removed for thorough cleaning at least once a week. These thermoses would be almost perfect if it wasn't for the horrible smell. Even after repeated thorough cleaning with lots of vinegar and washing-up liquid, the smell stays in the container. The vinegar dulled the smell a bit but it was still there and I didn't want to risk anything as it was going to be used on my daughter. I love the size, shape and insulation of this bottle. I bought it to keep my insulin vial cool for a week while hiking. The description says it stays cold for 24 hours and I agree. The mouth is big enough to hold ice cubes. The cubes stayed hard all day and they stayed cold all the time. I added ice every day.
