Fast enough for my needs

On MacOS I get 1610 MB/s write and 1738 MB/s read. Not as fast as my Samsung EVO but much cheaper and perfect for my fast music server. Good upgrade. It gets hot during recording, so it's recommended to use some kind of heatsink to avoid throttling. In my fanless Mini-ITX case, I had to mount it under the motherboard just a few millimeters from the bottom of the case. I used 2 thermal pads to connect the drive to the case and it worked like clockwork. When writing, the temperature must not…

Pros
  • Maximum write transfer rate: 1.76 GB/s
Cons
  • Weight

Who can pass this price!

Great offer. 7 times faster than my SATA SSD. Had to update the BIOS for my motherboard before the drive was recognized as bootable but xxx! Smoking.

Pros
  • Storage capacity: 1 TB
Cons
  • Not bad

Data corruption after power failure

I have several brands of m2 SSDs including Samsung Evo Plus and bought this drive for another computer. The computer I plugged this into was not on battery backup and the power went out once. When downloading a backup, I corrupted the data and had to restore it. Since then, this drive randomly boots with corrupted data and keeps starting to fail. I would recommend spending a few bucks more and getting a better brand. I'm not impressed with this drive and its extreme sensitivity to power…

Perfect for my sons Build

I am ordering this and several other computer parts for the computer my son built so all I can say is that he likes it and he said it's perfect for building.

Pros
  • Max read and transfer speed: 1.76 GB/s
Cons
  • No performance

Worked great. My 2013 MacBook Pro is a new machine!

Why Apple, why? 256GB SSD? Honestly? Now I have a decent storage device. You'll need a proper adapter if you want to use it with an old Mac, but you got it!

Pros
  • WiFi: No
Cons
  • Not the best
