Inexpensive 10GB adapter

I have bought several of these adapters and they work well. Used an earlier generation 540 and this appears to have replaced it. Overall performance is very good, easy installation and good driver support. Many configuration options to optimize performance like the previous generation.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Great shape for a used item.

ANYHDD shipped this NIC quickly and the card works great. It is in new condition although it was bought used. If you need one of those great Intel NICs but can't find a new one (they're ordered everywhere), feel free to buy them from ANYHDD.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Minor repairability

Excellent NIC for 10Gb/s operation

We use these adapters on a variety of ZFS NAS devices. Drivers are part of the kernel in the CentOS 7 distribution and their physical and logical deployment is simple and efficient, and over the years we haven't had any kernel panics or downtime due to NIC failures.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • No color required

Support Team (Link Aggregation)

I installed this card on my X299 desktop motherboard and connected it to a Cisco SG350X switch that supports 10G networks. I doubted this wouldn't work with a windows command, but it worked great. My switch can do link aggregation, as can my Synology NAS with dual 10G ports. I get around 500Mbps transfer speeds with this setup, but that depends on your setup (HDD/SSD, etc.). In general, it fully corresponds to what I bought it for. I just want to make sure that as a seller I'm buying from…

Intel does very little to help with 2X Port Aggregation/Bonding

After purchasing and installing it, I realized that Intel really doesn't have a solution to make this 2X Port 10GBE card work as an aggregated or bound set for 2-x the baud rate, so I can only use one at the moment until Intel @ss stops and makes it work. I've spent dozens of hours on and off with Intel to no avail to get this to work. They just said it just won't work with the latest changes in Windows 10. Everything they told me was a waste of time. 8 months later. it just died. Worst of all…

Pros
  • Rugged Design
Cons
  • Senior Citizen

Quality brand nic and good performance.

Have 2 of these installed and set up a 10 gigabit storage network. Performance tested and no reliability issues in the month I've had. Professionally, I will always choose Intel 10gig NICs over my competitors.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great computer components

Works great and transfers files to my Qnap Nas very quickly, much faster than even a lightning strike. Note, however, that cars slow down load times considerably.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Updates available

Works perfectly - highly recommended

I bought an ASUS 10Gb network card and had to return it because it didn't work with some websites. After replacing this Intel network card I had no problems with it. Yes, it's more expensive than ASUS's, but I'm glad I paid a little more and got a solid network and internet connection.

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Not automatic
