I needed a more accurate gauge than most laypeople use. In fact, I've found that many "professionals" in tire fitting use very inaccurate readings when the bar comes up to indicate pressure. Over time they seem to become inaccurate. It is "professional" quality with a hydraulically damped pointer display. It's not digitally readable, which I think usually implies more precision than what you actually get (IMO). Fluid damping means you have to wait for the needle to reach its maximum value…

Pros
  • Good visibility with large and small gradations
Cons
  • Can't remember

Buy - you won't regret it!

This is the best pressure gauge I have ever bought. And barring something catastrophic, this will probably be the last thing I have to buy. I can't count the number of sensors I've bought over the years. And one after another - some earlier than others - they all failed. The sliding type gives you an indirect reading of the pressure and is generally not very accurate or reproducible in most cases. And temperature and humidity play a role - dust, dirt, and oil or grease are killers of this kind.

Best tire gauge I have ever had

I have had dozens of tire gauges of varying quality over the years, all at little cost or free. This and I am very happy with my decision. I was considering this and a Motion Pro Professional meter. I liked the Motion Pro's features and it looks better, but since they moved production to Taiwan I went with a US made intercom and saved $25 on the process. Aside from the aesthetics, the only feature the Motion Pro has over this intercom is that the hose swivels at both ends. You'll immediately…
