Chipped and used - my new review

So I bought this to chop some small logs for my fire pit. It came out the box chipped and and dirty looking as if it was used previously. This should have been a brand new item. Other than the complaints it feels like it would be sturdy and easy to use. I will be returning or requesting a replacement.

  • Husband loves it! He uses it for cutting wood while camping!
Cons
  • The hatchet may not be suitable for use on harder woods, such as oak

Terrible product on my review.

Bought one, and the axe head came off. They sent a replacement free of charge which was nice but again only after using it a few months, it came off again!

Pros
  • Handle is a bit short but it works for me since I’m a short femaleBlade cover is worthless

Perfect length when sitting!

Very fast shipping! I chose this because I am disabled and I can use this from my chair easily. The regular hatchet is to short and an axe is to long. This is a great useable tool for me and my circumstances.

Pros
  • This is a good tool to have in my RV. Just the right size to do the job but not take up too much room.
Cons
  • Beware of fiberglass axes. The head will quickly start to wobble and the fiberglass will start to crack.

Good product overall

This is a quality product. The only thing I dislike about this hatchet is that it’s very forward heavy which makes it hard to control on the end of the swing.

Perfect for medium sized wood cutting

This is a great deal and perfect for cutting small to medium sized firewood. If you're cutting larger pieces, I recommend a larger axe with a bigger head.

Definitely worth the money

Excellent hatchet. This was my second purchase so I can keep one for the camper and one for the fireplace. Stronger and sharper than wood handled hatchets I have owned in the past.

PSA: Meant to be used KNEELING!

This has been a great camp axe for us, nice upgrade from a standard hatchet, you get a way better and more powerful swing with this without adding a lot of weight. Its important to note that this type of axe is meant to be used from a KNEELING position. Its not safe to swing a short axe (3/4 or hatchet) from a standing position, if you miss or over-swing through your target you can swing it directly into your legs and find out how devastatingly effective these blades really are on flesh. a…

Do not recommend best in my review

Very poor material,blade wasn't very sharp and became blunt after 2 pieces of wood. Never had an axe this bad. Handle was nice but off balance

material issues. - my new review

No chance to use item. Blade had deformity in it. Axe blade not true V, angles to one side. Axe head appears to have fracture into the material. Handle shows sign of wear. I considered this unsafe for use. Also I ordered a Steel Chopping Axe as advertised. See handle tag stating a splitting axe.

Over all not a bad buy BUT “you get what you pay for”

Sturdy lightweight handle, vibration is a minor issue but tolerable. My main gripe with this purchase is the blade cover, or lack there of. It’s a tiny sliver of rubber that ripped the first time I removed it. Also it came out of the package with burs and Indentions as if it were already used.

Perfect for our needs

Perfect for our needs at camp. The longer handle gives the leverage we need to split kindling. I have weak wrists from tendonitis and more than likely carpal tunnel and I'm able to use this easily and more times than not I can split in 1 swing.

Great medium size axe to have on hand.

This axe is the perfect size to take out in the woods for an overnight or to hike The Application with. It is lightweight, tough as nails, and sharp.I like to keep one around the fire to help split any over sized pieces and its small enough to help shave down some kindling.

Axe is of good quality just not the axe described or pictured!

I ordered this axe (the 800G axe) and received the 600G version of this axe, I use these for axe throwing and was willing to keep this axe but did order a second axe in hopes of receiving the 800G version. The second axe I received was another 600G axe. The axes seem to be of good quality, they just need to get the description correct.

Solid value. - my new review

We use this hatchet to trim tree roots while transplanting. It does what it is supposed to do. I gave it 3 stars for light weight, because you want the head to be HEAVY, especially for my use. I simply raise the axe and let it fall, allowing gravity and the sharpness of the blade do the job.

SWEET DEAL! best in my review

This item is exactly what I needed for cutting branches, etc. The only drawback was the holster for the ax head was left out for some reason. Now we have to find one that fits.
