3-Pack Dot Grid Notebook/Journal Refills For Standard Size Travelers Notebook - 100Gsm Paper, 8.25X4.25 Inch Review

This is for my traveler’s notebook. I have a b6 and it is a bit long for that, but that was easy to fix in this format. Quality of binding and pages is good.

These are the perfect notebooks for making a bullet journal. I’m going to use them in my traveler’s notebook. Paper is good quality and thick. Sharpie fine tip pen does not ghost or bleed through at all. I recommend these over the paper in a Moleskine notebook.

There are pros and cons to these journals. I didn't like that the covers were such rigid cardboard. Getting them in and out can be rough if you're working with a traveler's style notebook. I also didn't like the paper. It's heavyweight, which is great - I get little to no bleeding, but it's just not smooth and nice to write on. I also didn't realize that them being stapled instead of stitched would make a difference, but it does. Overall, not bad, but just not for me.

Quality paper, the dots are not too bold and don't distract. The covers are sturdy. You could easily use this on it's own, but it fits beautifully in a Traveler's Notebook. I'll be on the lookout for more inserts from this company.

Good quality journal at an affordable price. My go-to journal and I also gave it to my niece and nephew and they like it. One journal would last me about 3-4 months.

Overall I was pretty pleased with these notebooks. However, for my weekly insert I remove it from cover to set up each week so I can more readily change the orientation and have a smoother writing surface for drawing my designs out. At about halfway through the journal (3 weeks) the center page worked free of the staples and I had to tip it in with washi tape.Maybe it was that notebook, but the staples were not very securely closed and they seemed a bit short for the thickness. This notebook is perfection! The amount of pages, the paper weight, the color, the dot grid . just everything! I plan on using it as an art journal/fitness journal so I needed a heavier paper that would hold the acrylics. I only use a little paint but the paper held the paint well. I did see a review that said you can use sharpies. That’s definitely not true. I use a pigma micron 05 and 08 and it works great . no bleeding or ghosting. the pages are staple bounded so it’s hard to spread open pages sometimes. the paper quality is pretty good and is mostly bleed through.

Standard Size inserts. I love the paper; good texture/quality, not too thick or thin. The cream color paper goes with my other inserts in one of my TNs. I would like to see these in white paper so I can order for the other TN that I have.

The notebooks have thick, cream paper with light grey dots. They are kind of thick, and the kraft paper cover seems to have a bit of trouble laying flat when closed due to the thickness. The dots are well spaced. The paper has pretty prominent ghosting with my staedtler triples fineliners and my distress inks on very fine stamps. I wish they had specified that the paper was cream not white.

Great for TN bullet journal and planning. My only negative is that the paper isn't white, it's off white. Much prefer white, so probably wouldn't buy again.

Great product and very versatile for a wide range purposes, I really would have preferred if Moleskin had stitched the spine instead of using staples.

I bought these to try out in comparison to the traveler’s journal notebooks. The price is certainly better, and I appreciate that these are an affordable option. However, though they are labeled as fountain pen friendly, it’s clear that they aren’t quite as good as the original for use with specialty inks. The sheen and shading in these notebooks vs. the traveler’s notebooks is obviously inferior. There is still some sheen and a tiny bit of shading, but it’s much more subtle. I personally have…

Fantastic quality! I will definitely be purchasing these notebooks from September Leather again! I used Pigma Micron on them, and there's no bleed through at all. Really like these a lot!

Very impressed with the paper quality. I use a Signo 307 as my everyday pen and it is fairly "wet" and ghosts on most paper. There is no ghosting or show through with the Newestor refills. Very satisfied and will buy again.

These books will work for now, but they are staples in stead of sewn. Last batch I ordered were sewn and they laid flat. Also the paper is slick so the pen I use has a longer dry time before I can close my planner.

These are a great cheap journal if you're just going to be using pens or stamps. Cute and rustic with great dot grid. My complaint is that the paper is thin and cheap. I guess to be expected at the price point I just wouldn't try to use any type of brush or fountain pen on this. Otherwise pretty great!
