If you are a police officer, paramedic or civil servant and wear a duty belt, then you know the problem of losing the button closure. I found them easy to use and matched most leather items on my duty belt. They just fit perfectly and do their job. If one breaks again, simply replace it. There are many in the kit. I see too many good leather things in the trash just because the clasp is broken.

It was GREAT. I'm sure there are more complex or "tougher" latches out there, but they seem exceptionally strong when installed properly and evenly. Super easy to use. There were no instructions in the kit but the tools seemed pretty clear and easy to use. So far I've attached a few clasps to items I need, even 1/8" thick leather with no problems. Even replaced a rusty clasp on my husband's kilt.

I bought a set of fasteners from a big store to attach a molle holder to my Duluth via a rear seat organizer. The button clasp itself is fine, no issues, but the tools provided to assemble require more skill than me. It is very difficult to hold the punch and hammer and keep the fasteners in line on the anvil while striking the punch. I found that the two parts of the clasp were rather warped and didn't fit together to snap together when completed. But I've found that using my riveting tool with a small nail (6p?) works like a charm. Insert the nail through the base, fabric, and snap piece, then slowly
