We used them on a rescued pony that we found pregnant. She was to the bone then and her hair was dry and there was no hope in her eyes. Well she is perky now and she has a beautiful healthy long coat that is now shedding. It's spring now and we're expecting a foal any day. I know nothing about blankets. I've had my horse for a few years and thought she was in her 30's and might need a blanket. I've only put it on her once so far (at night) and I think she liked it. I could feel it slipping back and maybe choking her a bit, but she didn't seem to mind. It's supposed to be cold for the next few nights and I'll put it on her and see how well it holds up. So far I'm happy with the purchase and think it was a reasonable price. I would recommend this blanket.

Great duvet! I will never buy a comforter without cross straps again. I bought an 80" mare for my QH mare. I like the length; when tied it covers my mare's belly. She stands defenseless in the pasture and stays dry during the overnight downpour. The blankets got stuck what led to tears and threads. I have decided to purchase another waterproof rug from Intrepid International for my other mare QH who is smaller but plays and rides a lot more. She should be arriving in a few days.

I have a 16.1 HH 1400lb Andalusian Cross TB and bought a 77 inch that fits perfectly. He's scared of everything but that blanket. He actually squirms under her because he loves it so much. He lives to roll around and get tangled up in everything but this blanket held up great. I highly recommend this blanket!
