IOYIJOI 1 Pack Wet/Dry Filter Replacement: Craftsman Vac 9-17816 (5 Gallon & Larger Vacuum Cleaner) Review

Not sure if this filter will fit my Craftsman wet vacuum as it is not a genuine part number from the Craftsman website but it fits perfectly . I am happy with my purchase.

I was looking for a filter for my workshop vacuum cleaner. I entered the brand name and style and got to this page. When the filter arrived it definitely did NOT fit my handyman vacuum. However, the Revain return process was very easy, hence two stars for it. Note, however, that this filter did not fit.

Nothing specific against this filter but compared to the old filters this one is much less durable. Older filters had heavier weight, deeper material pockets, and larger filter capacity. These filters cover the vacuum properly, but they don't work as well as the older versions. Decent value based on price but not as functional as older filters.

It came as an "add-on" to my order for 16 gallon vacuum bags. In my 6.5 hp vacuum cleaner. Much larger black band filters are used instead of this smaller and more common red band filter. Still, it's 1 inch shorter (in length) than the built-in OEM red stripe filter, but the diameter is good and can be used.

I have a 6 gallon Craftsman Shop-Vac with model prefix 113 and it doesn't fit me. The part that fits on top of the cap is too small to fit through the hub. None of these filters seem to list dimensions other than overall height and overall width, so it's impossible to buy them online and be sure. The hole in the filter should be 5 inches and only 4 and 1/4 inches. Absolutely useless.

The filter has not been changed for 25 years and in the end it just fell apart. I received this filter to replace, thought it would be the same, but it is not. The hole around the foam filter that contains the overflow plug is narrower. This makes progress a little more difficult. Because of this, however, you don't need a bottom screw when it's on. In general, the filter works fine. It took me 5 minutes to replace, and that's because I had to adjust the foam. I'm very happy with this product…

I needed a new filter for my old Craftsman wet/dry vacuum from the 80's. I had a red stripe down the middle. It fit perfectly. Before purchasing, be sure to check the model number of your vacuum cleaner to determine which filter fits. It has to be somewhere in the vacuum.
