Amazing diagnostic tool

An excellent tool for diagnosing vehicle electrical systems. They're not just for fuel pumps. I use them for headlight switches, air conditioning compressors and anything that uses a relay in a car.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Some cons

Cool idea, the two I tried worked well

Cool idea, the two I tried worked well, the cardboard/styrofoam container is cheap, I think they could make a nice little plastic box with molded compartments for each relay tester. The container won't last long in my toolbox so I picked a more durable plastic container to store the kit.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are flaws

Great if you don't want to pinch the jumper wire

Excellent for troubleshooting more than just the fuel pump relay. Work anywhere a relay is used. Just be aware of the current draw of the system so the switch can handle it. I wish the big relay had a heavier switch. A relay of this size is rated for up to 70A in some systems, but the switch is only rated for 20A.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Operating speed

You will only regret not buying them sooner

Although I have worked with cars for many years, I had never heard of them before seeing them at Car Wizard. My only regret is that I didn't find out about them sooner. You will save a lot of time in troubleshooting electrical problems. An essential item in any mechanic's toolbox. They're supposed to come in a plastic case, but that's a minor thing.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great tool. need a package

This tool is extremely useful for testing. Some circuits are difficult to test, such as B. the fuel pump or the horn because you need someone to help you push the button, but this allows you to insert a relay and turn on the circuit without the need for a second person. My only complaint is the box, which needed to be better. The packaging is basically a big matchbox.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Not bad

Speeds up if the relay is faulty

Quickly identifies which relay is faulty and if you have a faulty relay you can bypass it and drive the car back to the workshop. When parking on a side street, an ignition relay was defective. I turned on the bypass switch, started the car and drove back to the shop. You never know when a relay will fail. Another good thing to have in your toolbox.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • When in doubt

I used to take the relay cover and .

I used to take relay covers and operate them by hand long after I had broken the covers many times and had to operate more than one. I bought this, had no crank, car was towed after the accident, used it on the fuel pump and starter at the same time as the key in the ignition for the immobilizer and started straight away, took 5 minutes to find the problem and saved me hours when tracing wires and circuits.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Obsolete
