I bought this to keep the aquarium warm. I didn't want a large blunt string hanging from the bowl which was the only way to keep the water warm. I put the bowl on it. It worked somehow. The fish died because it had nothing to do with the heater. I understand this is not the intended use of this product but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well all the reviews complain about the liability and I agree it's not the best at the moment it's still in the tank but going on the line. Now I don't like that I can't tell how crazy the temperature is. But I've learned it's for a toad, so I'm not worried. it makes that part of her tank warm and I find the cold nights we've had so far this fall she's hanging around so she has to do her job! I put it on the side of the tank as the stand is wood.

My son has a 5 gallon leopard gecko aquarium so we have the smallest sticky heater. We are very new to reptiles so I have nothing to compare this heater to. Regardless, I am very happy with my purchase. I have a digital thermometer with a sensor that hangs about 1 inch off the bottom of the terrarium and we currently use paper towels as a base. The temperature varies between 72-77°. It may not be a good area but our baby leopard gecko is very happy.

Terrible product. After careful assembly and reading the instructions, the heating pad only reaches a temperature of 74.2 degrees (2 degrees above room temperature) after a few days of waiting.
