Update: Originally the step 5 filter was different than the original filter I had with my reverse osmosis system. They reached out and gave me a replacement (it was the same filter without the Y-connector) but this time it came with an adapter (see 3rd picture). All you have to do is plug the Y-adapter they gave you into the Stage 5 filter (same end as the original) and plug everything back in the way it was originally. With this adapter everything works as it should and the filters work great.

I was very happy with the system I bought and it was my first time installing new filters. Please note: The FA15 alkaline filter was different from the one in the kit. with my original purchase.
