I have an 8ft ceiling and this pole looks clunky (not the product's fault, just something to consider if you have 8ft ceilings). I wish I went with a diameter less than an inch. However, this is a beautiful rod. The glass tips are surprisingly heavy and crystal clear. It's all very solid, but don't forget to secure it with a bolt or use drywall screws. I've hung many curtains directly from drywall - not an option with this rod.

I think this curtain rod is a great product. It's well made, has good hardware and is a good price for this quality. I have now bought a total of 3. I love the matte gold in my modern country style home. It's more of a nice dark matte gold than some products that have a more yellowish hue. I have a large window in the dining room and the velvet curtain rod has very little pressure and doesn't sag at all. This will be my cornice for my entire (new) home.

Eaves are better than expected. They are 1" and made of strong metal so they easily hold my rather heavy velvet curtains and don't have to worry about the stem bending. I didn't use the hardware that came with the rods but I did use the standard curtain rod hardware that comes with all other curtain rods. Firstly the quality of the rod and tips is far superior to many on the market especially in this price range. Problem, for a double window I bought the largest pole so I would have enough sill and center support. When it arrived I quickly realized that the two larger diameter pieces were different lengths so for my window the narrow fill rod would not be anywhere near the center and this is quite obvious. I have a TON of windows and can't afford to spend a TON of money to fix them. I've been looking for curtains and cornices for almost a year! I've always disliked things.
