I saw Rachel Ray use a Garlic Ribbon Grater so thought I'd give it a try. This tool is amazing! I hate chopping garlic so I tend to use the dry stuff. I've tried several other gadgets with no success. But this tool gets rid of the sticky bit of ground beef that makes my fingers and cutting board stink for days. Just a few strokes of the cloves on this grater into the pan and you're done! Effortless cleaning. Just rinse and put in the dishwasher. Highly recommended.

I bought a grater for myself and one for a gift. I've used it several times to grate lemon zest and whole nutmeg. Works perfectly! Cleans up fairly easily. I used an old grater that was too big and I scratched my thumb. This grater is sharp, thin and curved, the knuckles are no longer scratched and the lemon zest is finely grated. I love it. I bought this grater specifically for grating carrots in salads. Although the blades are SHARP, the design flaw is that the surface of the grater is curved. The only reason I see this is because the blade is "sprung" between two side supports. The problem is that what you rub moves along this curved surface in unpredictable ways.
