🔵 Jacquard iDye Natural Fabric Dye: Royal Blue Review

So these dyes work really well and I've had good luck with them. However, the smell is very strong and I didn't like breathing it. It smells almost like perfume and I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money. Color choice aside, I think RIT color would work as well.

The color works well but oh my god SMELL! D: SO TERRIBLE. Make sure you do it outside, like a camp stove, with a gas mask. This is by far the most foul smelling paint I've ever used and I use industrial paints, dyes and glues in my work every day so I'm pretty used to bad chemical smells. This stuff made me a little dizzy 15 minutes into the painting process when all the doors and windows in my house were open and 3 fans were running. My house stunk all day afterwards!

I used a pouch and threw all sorts of things in - some were white/natural cotton, some were light green/mottled because they didn't work well with another brand of dye - all came out great. I love how everything changes color: the shirt, the linen pants, the padded flannel, the scarf, the sweater, even the long sleeve shirt that turned out to be 50/50 cotton-poly turned out really nice. pretty, with a little "pagan" look.
