Description of 🔌 9Meters 12AWG Solar Extension Cable with Male and Female Connectors + Extra Connectors and Solar Connector Pins for Solar Panel (9M Red + 9M Black)

→The insulation layer of the solar cables 12awg is made of excellent PPO, which has the characteristics of good flame retardancy, self-extinguishing, high strength, abrasion resistance, and corrosion resistance, can be used for more than 25 years at a temperature of -40 ~ 90 °C, and has a waterproof IP65 performance. →The extension cable is made of heavy-duty 12AWG (4mm2) wire, which is the largest diameter size among. and the thickness of 4mm2 is sufficient to withstand current and voltage (DC: 1.8KV-AC: 0.6~1KV), It can minimize the power loss of the solar panel system, very thick and durable. →One end of the two cables is solar panel connectors , the other end is exposed to the solar controller, only one end has a connector, which is convenient for you to cut the cable to adjust the length. →Extends and locks were built in cables, and with hard plastic connectors at each end, so it is stable self-locking and easy to lock and open. → Increase a free pair of separate solar connectors. One pair ( 1 piece black + 1 piece red ) 9 meters 12AWG Solar Extension Cable. Made with copper.

I think it goes: solar energy and wind energy

Aluminum wires. Very thin braided wires that break easily. If you can successfully extend bare wires without breaking them, I would definitely recommend soldering the ends.

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • Transparent film

High quality cables

I use these cables to connect a Bluetti portable solar panel to an MPPT charge controller and a solar generator. The cables are supplied with MC4 connectors pre-installed on one end and a spare set of MC4 connectors. The wire itself is made of tinned copper wires (see photo). Tin plating helps minimize corrosion and oxidation and is a must for outdoor installations in my opinion. These cables appear to be of very high quality and are perfect for my application.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Hard to tell

12 AWG Tinned Copper Wire

Connectors are already attached to one end of the cable and one full connector per tier is included. Each wire is double insulated and the conductor is tinned copper (I scraped the tin and sawed copper underneath). Copper isn't typically soft copper, so a strand or two can snap if nicked or improperly stripped. The list is a bit confusing as the specifications for these cables are as follows: Wire Size: 12 AWG 10 Gauge, Conductor Cross Sectional Area: 4mm². I don't know why there was "10 gauge"

Basic MC-4 extension cords, consider cord cost per foot

Summary: When it comes to extension cords, the two rules of thumb are a) buy the best quality cord (grade or size) and b) run You the shortest length you can get away with. Notes: They are sold in three lengths: 20 feet and 30 feet, so if you need additional 12 AWG wire for other projects, consider a longer length. Recommendation: The latest cable from JAMGOER was a few centimeters shorter, so measure as soon as you receive it. Pros: Decent fit and finish; unilateral end; includes an additional

The result is a length of 116 inches (4 inches is not enough)!

Update (8/7/21): 116" measured length (4" less)! 1 star, not recommended. Summary: When it comes to extension cords, two rules of thumb are: a) buy the best cord you can (quality or size) and b) use the shortest length you can use. Notes: They are sold in three lengths: 10, 20 and 30 feet. So if you need extra 12AWG wire for other projects, consider using longer wires. High quality PV cable with tinned copper strands and M4 connectors

Looks like a very high quality 12 AWG PV cable with double insulation and tinned copper strands. I think it's aluminum wire, but it's not. I can understand the confusion because the tinning makes it look like aluminum wire. However, when I expose the cut to sunlight, I see copper. The copper wires are tinned if they are likely to be exposed to water - as if they were used for a permanent installation on a rooftop solar array - because they offer greater resistance to corrosion. I can also tell…
