Connectors are already attached to one end of the cable and one full connector per tier is included. Each wire is double insulated and the conductor is tinned copper (I scraped the tin and sawed copper underneath). Copper isn't typically soft copper, so a strand or two can snap if nicked or improperly stripped. The list is a bit confusing as the specifications for these cables are as follows: Wire Size: 12 AWG 10 Gauge, Conductor Cross Sectional Area: 4mm². I don't know why there was "10 gauge" - it's 12 AWG, 4mm². The insulation looks pretty typical for PV cables and I'm not worried about putting it into service.
