Superb producer of musubi due to press irregularities

Let me explain. My parents have another musubi press (link below, yes we love musubi) and this one is much better because the rice doesn't stick to the press. The pressing element has small plastic protrusions that form a contoured surface so rice never sticks to it. On the lower one, however, after a few initial musubi, the rice is sticking out all over. If you're making a bouquet for a large family, choose one that doesn't stick. 1&keywords=musubi+press&qid=1587855013&sr=8-5

Yes, this empty glass works much better and easier.

. This is the perfect size for half a nori sushi sheet. I put the rice directly on the half nori sheet, added some rice seasoning, put the fried one in the pan, and then seasoned it with the sauce (2t oyster sauce, 2t soy sauce and 2t sugar) SPAM on top, another layer of rice out of the mold on top and then finished wrapping the nori. Even on the first use, the results were great and they looked professional. In fact, my very young nephew and niece did all the work - I just concocted SPAM. I'll

Wonderful rice pan, very versatile and large.

Love love love that musubi uniform! For some reason, Asians love spam. As a happa (1/2 Japanese) I grew up with them. But it's been a while since I've eaten alone. When I saw this at Revain I immediately bought them and made them for my daughters who of course loved them too. The price was reasonable but the memories they brought back along with the memories I create with my girls in the kitchen are priceless. Even if you don't use spam in your musubi, I highly recommend getting one of those…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Works perfectly! on Kitchen Utensils & Gadgets

I really like this little gadget. Once I tried cooking Spam Masubi without it and I couldn't get the rice to form. The result was a big mess. I was a little worried about the quality given how cheap it was, but it was an unnecessary concern. There is no English manual on the box but there are pictures so it is quite easy to use. The cob part has small protruding pebbles which I assume prevent sticking, but nothing sticks to it anyway, not even super sticky rice. I just put on my nori strips…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

I first bought 5 of these to make Spam Musubi in Hawaii. This little mold works great as advertised and doesn't stick. I have given away 3 presses to family and friends much to their delight. Since then I've expanded on various combinations such as cottage cheese and scrambled eggs, bacon and eggs with cheese, ham and cucumber slices, shrimp and carrot julienne, and kimchi to name a few. The list of recipes/combinations is only limited by your imagination. Keep in mind that you need a source of
