Sharp highs. The very best in automotive and automotive electronics

Very loud. Decent bass for a door speaker. But the high frequencies are punchy and penetrating, even with a -3dB tweeter. Especially at higher volumes, some voices and instruments start to distort terribly. In my opinion, this is quite exhausting for the listener. Use with 75W Polk amplifier.

Good Sound for Normal Listening

These speakers sound good for regular car listening. I was hoping for a lower level. But for a 6-inch speaker, that's not scary. I added an 8" powered subwoofer under the seat to round out the sound. Now the system sounds good. I'm not one to wiggle the license plate frame, I just needed lower frequencies.

The 3 ohm rating is definitely important. The sound quality is excellent for the price.

These speakers matched the sound quality of other JBL speakers I installed a year ago. First, I installed four JBL speakers and two Pioneer speakers of the same RMS. rear doors. I've never heard the pioneers. Same RMS as JBL rear speakers. They were just muted. Now I have a somewhat inexpensive set of 6 well matched JBL speakers. Sounds really good in my 4-door SUV! I can definitely recommend them for the price range. Too bad I didn't buy a set right away!

Perfect Mazda CX3 Replacement Speakers

I sent them to the UK to replace the rear kit in a Mazda CX3 (Bose system). First, the tailgate size is 5.25", so I made a 6.5" coax mounting plate/adapter. Speaker. Conclusion: It shows how bad and dirty the factory Bose speakers are (JBL plays in a completely different league in terms of sound). Crystal-clear sound, many high-quality mids, controlled and pleasant bass and beautiful, ringing treble.
