Not loud enough for the hearing impaired

This phone is great for big numbers BUT the ringer volume is not loud enough for the hearing impaired and you cannot turn up the volume on the handset. Also the telephone cable is not long enough.

Smaller than expected

First, it worked, so it's good. It was a lot smaller than it looked in the picture and felt very cheap. It won't get much use so I don't worry too much about it but I feel like a drop and it's over.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some minor things

Buy recommendation

I bought this for my grandma because she doesn't see so well anymore and it has a speed dial function. She likes it very much. The numbers were very easy to program for speed dialing. Volume and sound quality are good.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Ringer is the best.

So far so good. The ringtone is exceptionally loud so no more missed calls. There's also a light that flashes to let people know it's calling, so it's a double chance not to miss a call. The phone is only a week old, but the volume and large buttons are a hit. The first one broke and the customer service was great, I received the new one within a few days.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very helpful for the elderly!

I bought this phone for my elderly neighbor who was having trouble making calls using the VoIP service. She uses MagicJack, and the small buttons on her old phone prevented her from dialing fast enough to make calls. The phone with large buttons helped her a lot, especially with the ability to program phone numbers for automatic dialing. I definitely recommend this phone for people with vision problems.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Good hands free phone for seniors who are blind and hard of hearing

This phone was actually my second attempt to get a phone for my father who is blind and hard of hearing. We actually sealed the tube with tape so the device "thinks" the tube is suspended all the time. All dad needs to do is press the bottom center speaker button to make and receive calls. By using the speaker, he can listen in "stereo" with both ears instead of just one ear at a time. He's had it for a few months and so far so good.

Pros
  • Special offer
Cons
  • Hard to say

Mysterious phone? Best in Office Electronics

This is the first time I can't go online and get a PDF manual. My 100-year-old mother lost her instructions and when some of her ALF co-workers turned off the phone, the speed dial she had been relying on was reset. Their biggest complaint is that the handle is so light that it can't sit tight in the mount. The phone has no markings, no model, no series, no brand, nothing. I had to look for it in Revain purchases. By the way, the same phone is sold under different brand names. Add to that the…

Have changed my rating. to landline

***Edited on November 3rd. I'm changing my rating for this phone from two stars to four stars. The company that sells this particular product was very concerned about the two star rating. They tried several times to convince me to request another phone to fix the problem. At first I just ignored her emails thinking it would be different? Although I ignored their emails, they still sent me another phone to try. The phone that came with it does what it's supposed to do. It amplifies the sound…
