Jensen MCR 1000SB Portable Cassette Headphone Review

I am so, so happy I took the chance and bought this CD/cassette player. I spent about 3 hours reading reviews of different brands in 2020 and I was dissatisfied with aspects of all well-known brand radios. So I decided to take that risk, which none of the reviews said. It was a QVC model so I didn't know what to expect. But the quality is outstanding. It feels strong and solid. Everything plays fine, the radio is loud and clear. I hope this lasts, but now I feel like I made the right decision.

First: When I play a CD, e.g. B. an audio cassette, it does not skip to the next track by itself. I have to manually move it to the next track, which means I start at the end and move it to the track I want. You also have to decide whether to repeat 1 or all tracks and I don't see why you should do that. Very disappointed. Of course, 90 days have passed, so I'm stuck. I bought it because I know the name Jensen. So when you buy, buy with a guarantee. Don't get stuck like me.

This is the first new two-cassette boombox in a long time, but if you're excited about duplicating tape copies like they did in the '80s and '90s, brace yourself. frustrated because the recordings he makes (from whatever source) are quiet, faithful, and overloaded with hiss and rumble. Cassette playback sounds good - it's in stereo and has decent speed stability - but what's the point of paying extra for a deck with two cassettes when you only use one deck to play tapes?
