When they were in the hand they seemed to be too small they weren't. Instructions: - Turn all the buttons the same way (to allow the new buttons to line up properly) - Place a piece of fabric over the old button - Hold the band around the buttons - Use pliers (over the fabric, to avoid scratching the old buttons) to carefully remove the old button. - Carefully align and push down the new handle by hand. - Outriggers, new handles. They even light up when the dashboards come on.

I bought these knobs for a 03 Gen 1 Tacoma. The quality of the product is good. They have some weight, which is nice. What I don't like about them is the fit. The adapter on the back of the handlebar does not fit into the slots on the truck. Suitable, just not sure. Super glued them while they work. There's no gap around the buttons on this year's model, as some reviews say. This can also be different with newer models.

I tried removing the old switches and the first one, the fan speed went off incredibly easily, I put in a new knob, looked great, wanted that one 2nd twist and I pulled and pulled and the handle came loose along with the shaft it sits in along with some of the electronic resistance. The seller said it was damaged and they couldn't replace just that part. The entire unit is scheduled to be replaced at a cost of $900. These dials make the inside of the 2nd Gen Tacoma look a little more like the 4Runner by adding large Tonka Truck style dials, that people either like or don't like. I think it's a tasteful addition and it's the cheapest appearance mod now. The dials are aluminum with knurling and a nice matte ring around the dial. Looks nice though. They do not fit the 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4-door TRD. Like others I had to use a dab of super glue to get 2 out of 3 to stay. Then they wobbled and didn't work well. They are too small for the hole - they leave a gap around the dial that creates glare. The OEM dials are designed so that the outside edge of the dial fits into a matching circular channel in the climate control panel. This creates a baffle that prevents light from being directly visible around the perimeter of the dial.
