Smooth Sailing with Reliable Parts

Using this product, our team found that the parts were durable and reliable making for a smooth sailing experience... The item was lightweight and easy to install, perfect for those who enjoy spending time in Sports and Outdoors. The only con we experienced was a slight delay in delivery, but it was worth the wait. Overall, we highly recommend this product for any boating and sailing enthusiasts..

Pros
  • Durable and reliable replacement for MerCruiser transom assemblies built between 1973-1990.
Cons
  • May require professional installation due to complexity of the part.

Do not waste your money

This product did not meet my expectations FOR its price... The quality is subpar and the installation process was difficult. While it may be marketed as a reliable addition for your boat, I would not trust it in rough waters. The only pro is that it seemed to fit the intended model of my boat. However the cons far outnumbered the one pro. Save your money and invest in a more reliable option for your Sports and Outdoors activities..

Pros
  • Strong and durable construction
Cons
  • Compatibility limited to specific Mercruiser models manufactured between 1973 and 1990

Poor hose clamp design - don't use them.

Small switch bellows end hole is too small and I've already glued/clamped it. I can't route the shifter cable, and I've done this job before. The worst - clamps: do not use! They don't overlap and distort the fur.

Pros
  • Fits R, MR, Alpha 1 (1983-90) 6225577 and up and Alpha 1 SS (1986-89) OA 545004 and up. Doesn't fit Alpha 1 Gen 2
Cons
  • Big and bulky
