I think it worked well for the first month or so, but soon its range was very limited. I have to be very close to the sensor bar. Also, the pointer (I'm sure it has a different name) jumps across the screen. To see if it was my Wii remote, I lit two candles and used them as homemade IR emitters. Wow, I was amazed at how well this worked! I later found out that this is not the same as the original Nintendo sensor bar as it only has three IR LEDs on each side where Nintendo has five.

I bought this when our sensor panel for our old Wii broke and decided to try one of the universal panels. It works and looks the same as the old one. I use it on the original white Wii. The bar seems to be working fine. I didn't notice any difference between this panel and the original panel that came with the Wii. The included plastic stand was broken in the package. I just glued it back on and while it's a bit difficult to snap the stand onto the sensor bar, once attached it seems like it stays attached.
