Clean and properly selected thread

Exactly what it should be. All threads were clean and undamaged and fitted perfectly. Ordering from Revain was easier than going to the store and looking for what I needed.

Pros
  • Material: Brass.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Used to adapt the gas line to the dryer: solved my unique problem

My new dryer had a 3/8" NPT fitting, which is a typical size, and the gas valve on the wall had a 1/2" NPT male connector. If I were more careful I would buy the correct gas line with the correct fittings on each end or at least reduce the 1/2" NPT male thread to a 3/8" NPT male thread on the wall to match the Gas to connect pipe. Line. Realizing my mistake, I went on a search and found this rare combination, and it worked like clockwork. I now have four of these that will probably be in a box…

Pros
  • Hex socket to connect two different diameter pipes.
Cons
  • Expensive
