JR Products 20335 Window Handle Review

Easy replacement for a broken handle in my caravan. The only complaint is that it was "expensive" for the product so I only gave it 4 stars.

These power windows are not finished yet. The slots are removed from the original handles and will likely be removed from them. (I can put them on with a two part epoxy to see if they last longer.) Still they fit, the price was good and the shipping was fast. I had to contact the seller as it was not clear which model, A or B, is required. They actually refer to whether the pen has a long stem or a short stem.

Overall I am happy with this purchase and would recommend with only 2 warnings. Please note the shaft length before ordering. I had to try a few before I found this one that worked well with my '96 kit companion. As other reviewers have pointed out, the screw that comes with it is way too long. I had to trim about 1/2" of the thread for a snug fit. Not a huge inconvenience, but it added about 5 minutes to the project.

I needed replacement window handles with slightly longer handles as the original handles rubbed against the window frame when opening or closing windows. These replacement grips will work, but the screws that came with the grips will not work. fits well. The screws are standard and longer than necessary, so the end user will have to cut them slightly shorter. In addition, the screw heads are larger than the recess in the handle. I had metal handles to open and close two windows in the 'living area' of my RV, but they interfered with the mini blinds. I bought these grips to create the necessary clearance. The windows originally had handles but I replaced them with metal handles when the plastic handles fell off. As the window mechanisms became obsolete and the worm gear began to wear out, they became harder to turn. So if I don't find a way to free them, those handles will probably wear out as well.
