Jubilee Stainless Steel Bracelet with Straight V-Clasp Review

Nice strap in this price range that is at the lower end of what Strapcode sells. Quality workmanship, easy to assemble (I only used the screwdriver from the glasses repair kit and had no problems), nice clasp with six micro adjustments. My only complaint is that it's not the weight I'd like, but I'm not sure I can complain at this price point.

First of all, this is undoubtedly the most comfortable bracelet I have ever had. Compared to leather, Milanese or other branded bracelets, this jubilee disappears when worn. You can easily sleep with the watch as the strap is so good. That being said, size was a big issue. Even with the right tools, the experience wasn't as easy as expected. Feels nice and looks good. However, there are problems. The width of the end link and its thickness mean that you cannot tip the strap into the watch, and on some watches the thick end link interferes with the watch case, preventing it from fitting. Makes changing watches a lot more routine. And for the money, why isn't there a quick release? The clasp is a little wobbly. No smooth closing, and the shutter keeper is not smooth either. I have an engineer and this bracelet, both. The engineer is impeccable and handsome. This; however, has a very bad, bad clasp. Sits hard and tight. It is so difficult to remove that I have tried unsuccessfully to perfect it with a jewelry rasp. The metal is too hard. I am very dissatisfied with my purchase. Set working time. This bracelet made me feel lucky to have an engineer. I will no longer use this brand. Don't believe the ads. Bad kit.

I love the J Louis watch strap. Firstly there are 5 links on each side of the clasp which can be removed for a correct fit if required. Also, they attach with screws rather than pins like most watch straps. That alone speaks volumes about the quality. Second, there are about 6 micro-holes in the clasp for fine adjustment. After years of rumors about how good Strapcode/Miltat bracelets are, I finally broke down and bought this 20mm Super J Louis. It fits the hype! Easy to install, easy to size and probably the most comfortable strap I've ever worn on a watch! My Citizen Promaster Diver came without a strap and if you're lucky enough to find an OME strap you'll pay over $120 for it.
