These lanterns are not very well made, some of mine came with small cracks. I used to buy these paper lanterns from a party store and they were much more durable than these. Also, my set had two dark greens, three light greens, and one medium green instead of three light and three dark. Next time I'll go to the party supply store.

This was a great accessory for my son's birthday party, the Hungry Caterpillar. Very easy to assemble and I love that it comes with a clear string to hang the blocks. I'm very careful with paper lanterns, as I've done many times before, but they're instantly punctured if I don't line up the metal insert perfectly. My preschool class loves this baby!I made his eyes out of yellow and green paper and double taped them to the lanterns.I twisted 2 purple trumpet brushes together to make antennae, tied a bow around them, a bit more, then did the bottoms with twisted little bows on either side of the lantern frame and then glued a black pompom ball for his little nose.I bought 2 sets, one in my toddler class and one in my 24-30 month old class and the kids absolutely love them!
