Bought this for my son (2 1/2) and I to play with. Have fun

I bought this because I thought it would be a better (healthier) way to play video games and I was right. Of course, my son doesn't always dance and now and then I have to hug him. He definitely enjoys playing it and we both warm up a bit. The game has a variety of music from different eras, but mostly pop music. The visuals are also fun and upbeat. For me at least, the Kinect controls can be a little frustrating, but it might be down to my setup and the kid running around confusing the sensor.

  • Great for a small home

Cool dance game!

I love the Just Dance series. Just Dance 4 is their best game in my opinion. Also the best dancing game on the market. Pros: Large selection of songs. Great dance moves. Lots of dance moves in each song which makes each song fun and fast paced even though each song is 3-5 minutes long. Difficult but not that difficult as after some practice you don't get four or five stars. You can get five stars without making every move perfect. A brief introduction to the songs. Cons: The menu selection is…

The interface just doesn't work well

I've used many interfaces for Kinect and it was the worst interface I've ever seen for a Kinect game and even previous versions of this game. It requires you to hit the game with your hand which is a bit difficult for me as I can never choose the right song, I get frustrated with this game pretty quickly. I would give the game three stars but there are none. There are many songs that I think are great in this game. Compared to Dance Central's Xbox games, this game is just awful. I think that's…

Great game, terrible interface

We managed to get an online update and now the game is FUN! Girls can use the controller to choose between songs and get started! No tears or fights! Hooray!****FIRST REVIEW****I got this game for my daughters birthday. They just turned 8 and 10 years old. While the song selection and gameplay are amazing, we have one huge UI issue. I read that there was an update online that was supposed to come out when the Xbox is on, but it didn't. The game is fun when they dance. But fighting ("stop” and…

Cons
  • Hard to say

The new Just Dance 4 UI is quite difficult to navigate and we've been playing for weeks now. It's really finicky and strangely unresponsive at times. Aside from having to navigate the menus, the game is fantastic. Great music, fun dance moves. My favorite feature is the Just Sweat section, which lets you choose how long you want to dance to great sets and see how many calories you're burning. The only downside to this section is the repetitive songs in the set. It's annoying to have to repeat…

Great for training - legacy systems

I'm 57 years old, have no children at home and bought my Xbox primarily for sport. I have a sense of humor and my wife's practice with DVDs directed by mean girls is hard work. It's a blast - I can dance like crazy for 20 minutes and sweat more than anything. Plus it's fun and funny. They did a great job getting everyone involved including me. Whether it's on an Arizona platform, in an elevator, or on a wrestling mat to great music, it's really fun. Many of the other dances are of course pop…

Controls Disappointed but dances great as always

I love Just Dance 1-3. I've even bought Greatest Hits just to have a new set in a game. The dances and songs are also fantastic in Just Dance 4. I like Just Dance more than Dance Central because Just Dance plays the whole song, the dance moves go so well with the music, makes it a fun exercise, and the difficulty strikes a nice balance. between not too easy and not too difficult. HOWEVER, this time they completely messed up the UI! You have to select songs by moving your hand back and forth to…

Awkward Kinect menu interface!

Just Dance 4 I haven't tried Dance Central, but I liked that Just Dance didn't model the faces or subtle features of the teacher characters. I didn't like that aspect of Zumba Fitness Core because it wasn't realistic enough and didn't add value to the game. Just Dance 4 has some contemporary songs (like Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen) or Alexandra Stan. MR Saxobeat. Kinect's menu interface is awkward to use. To do this, you need to point forward (towards the Kinect sensor) and then pull…
