Screw didn't fit car mounts

The included screw didn't fit any of my bikes (both 2018 bikes are Kona and Santa Cruz, one mid-range, the other tall). The Kona had a similar bolt so I could use the mount on that bike. No problems on the first ride after installation.

Poor design is best for GPS, viewfinder and accessories

The plastic insert that goes over the clamp screw needs to be put on after you have tightened the headset. But once the headset is firmly in place, you can't rotate the plastic insert to align it so your GPS is straight. Why didn't they just leave a hole in the plastic insert so you can insert an allen wrench into the screw?

Not so durable for mountain bikes

The product is clean and well assembled. I am an avid racer both on the road and in the mountains. I would recommend it for the road and not the mountains. Fastening exactly to a steering fork. The problem is that in a hard crash the adapter broke and my Garmin flew down a hill losing the Garmin and adapter.

  • Dope 🔥

Garmin position set back slightly compared to standard

The mount installs easily with a small alignment adjustment. Setup only takes a few minutes. My only issue was that the layout is now bigger at the back than I thought it would be. Depending on your bike setup and riding style, this may or may not be an issue. I've been riding Garmin devices for many years and just got used to having the handlebars closer to my nose. The fit and finish is good, I can easily upgrade to a K-Edge mount which puts it on the handlebars instead of a top cap.

Nothing like K-Edge for Garmin

I have Edge 520. Mounts for road and MTB. All is well on the road before take-out. However, the MTB is not so good in the front when you fold. So I tried this top cap. Easy to install, be careful with the small screws, use the correct Allen key to avoid over tightening the screws holding the plastic bracket in the cover. Don't know if this will be the final resting place as next time I try the top cap mounted over the stem mount. Easy access to the bottom buttons to start and stop the device. I

Precisely! about GPS, viewfinder and accessories

I liked the easy installation. And the accommodation was just right. On my mountain bike, I didn't want my Garmin cluttering up the handlebars or dangling off an extended mount up front. This puts him in a great position to be easily seen but at the same time out of the way. Expensive? Yes. But this one is done and it's worth it to me. I always use a tether on my Garmin but it snaps in nice and secure no problem. For those reviewers who said there's no hole in the center plastic portion to…

Broke in front of my Garmin in an accident. Ideal!

I love this thing on my mountain. My Garmin has never crashed (XC, easy descents, jumps, etc.) and has had a number of accidents. I really want to thank the creators of the product. I got a nasty headbutt on the bars the other day and shattered my knee on the apparatus when flipping over. The plastic wings on this mount broke in an accident because the plastic was slightly less durable than the plastic on the back of my GPS. The mount is broken, the Garmin is not. It was exactly what I expected

5-star performance rating. 4 stars. Therefore

Comparable with other ratings. I found the plastic spring tabs that secure the Garmin to the mount a bit loose on my Edge 1030, but my Edge 520 held up pretty well. To fix this, I put thin pieces of styrofoam (1/16th thick or less) behind the tabs. This raises the tabs and helps fix the Garmin better. I also widened the hole just enough to fit an allen wrench while the plastic insert was in place. It is much easier to align the bracket so that it is perpendicular to the bars. Worked great. Rode
